THE HOWARDS CHALLENGE<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dave and Julie Howard were quickly outgrowing their house with an expanding family. They needed more space, more neighborhood feel and a better space to spend outdoors. They found the perfect house in the Chicago suburbs, but the yard was a DISASTER! Because the house and neighborhood were so perfect, they decided they could make the outdoor space their own.<\/p>\n

Dave considered himself pretty handy and had tackled a variety of projects both in and outside of their previous house. He quickly realized that he may have gotten in over his head given how many trees they have on their existing lot. Most of the stuff he had done before would not work because of how much shade<\/a> their property has. After he and Julie talked to their neighbors and receiving several recommendations for Platt Hill Nursery, they knew where to go to try and figure out their space.<\/p>\n

\u00a0OUR TEAMS CHALLENGE<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dave came in with his very energetic kids to see what options he had. After talking with the Perennial Manager, he was advised as to what plants could add color, with minimal maintenance and heavy shade. After wandering Platt Hill Nursery Bloomingdale, he received a variety of recommendations from team members and their personal favorites, leading him to the perfect plants for his space. His kids also thoroughly enjoyed visiting with the Platt Hill Nursery cats.<\/p>\n

With the help of his kids, he took the plants home and started beautifying his outdoor space so the kids had a bigger area to enjoy. \u201cIt has been some work, but with the right advice, I can figure anything out. Even after everything has been planted, I have called several times for more advice and how to keep it alive and thriving.\u201d<\/p>\n

Julie has been impressed with how they have managed to make it work with three kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cKids\u2026take\u2026A LOT\u2026of time! I did not know how we were going to be able to keep up with the yard with three little ones running around.
